The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, March 2012

  1. I like Jan 5th: "Scary possible (improvised) ending of the Hobbit."

I haven't bothered discussing this with anyone yet since I feel it is too speculative to worry about, but since I'm here...if Necromancer/Sauron comes tearing through the BOFA, or waits till after the main events of BOFA, then comes tearing through, only to be non-mortally wounded by Beorn, or something, will you walk out and demand your money back? It is a pretty massive change, but do you think it will appear ridiculous, or does it have a chance to work?

    1. Yeah . . . this would be a pretty dire situation. I'd like to think of myself as a Tolkien 'purist' . . . but I also think think the movies are awesome. So, I'd probably stage some sort of inner protest but still end up buying the extended edition of the movies.
