  • 13th of October: 1 year since Hobbit movie directed by PJ was announced
  • 30th of September: Interview with PJ about filming
  • 20th of August: Filming begins again, as reported here
  • May 30th: Titles of two Hobbit films announced

    • December 13, 2012: "The Hobbit: There and Back Again"

  1. I like Jan 5th: "Scary possible (improvised) ending of the Hobbit."

    I haven't bothered discussing this with anyone yet since I feel it is too speculative to worry about, but since I'm here...if Necromancer/Sauron comes tearing through the BOFA, or waits till after the main events of BOFA, then comes tearing through, only to be non-mortally wounded by Beorn, or something, will you walk out and demand your money back? It is a pretty massive change, but do you think it will appear ridiculous, or does it have a chance to work?

    1. Yeah . . . this would be a pretty dire situation. I'd like to think of myself as a Tolkien 'purist' . . . but I also think think the movies are awesome. So, I'd probably stage some sort of inner protest but still end up buying the extended edition of the movies.
